Why would you not? Being any of those would not exclude you. Seems like a democrat idea to exclude someone because of a trait they might have.

I unlike the majority of conservatives do not believe in much of the mainstream ideology of what being a conservative is. As I read this I knew what I am by any other definition, this is my core being. Conservatism is a thinking mans ideology. It requires understanding and wisdom, research and knowledge, and the ability and willingness to judge right from wrong. It requires a moral compass, a fortitude for righteousness, and above all a love of liberty. To be a true conservative the value of the individual must be nourished and a fierce independence cultivated that can withstand the petty criticisms, persecutions, and mockeries of those who have yet to see the light.Like (1)

I'm Canadian, so I couldn't vote Republican if I wanted to. I've noticed that most of them are either white, rich or both, but I've never voted them into power. Either way, they both have political platforms that I disagree with. So do the Conservatives (who are the majority in Canada right now). Really though, Republicans are the most obvious of the two evils, but they have more money. Democrats should have a more logical ideology, but they really don't. Only kinda.

I really hope that Canada doesn't take the same path, but our Prime Minister is really conservative and he's outsourced most of our resources. I really wish I could do something about it. Votes are doing nothing.Like (1)

any female, black, poor, latino, middle class, or foreigner might choose to be a republican if they're christian, because they relate more to conservative views. I know lots of people from low income households that vote republican because of their religious beliefs. It baffles me a little.
