Our next stop is the heap of empires that died. It is high time to relinquish the idea of the empire whether economic or militaristic and start focusing on humanity as a whole. The Earth is a closed loop system at the moment. No new resources are being added. We must learn to cooperate with each other or face dire consequences. The age of superpowers has come to an end. We are facing an evolutionary change. Either we adapt and become a nimble adaptable nation or we go the way of the economic dinosaurs. Take your pick.

That book was written awhile ago. Thank you. It is a nice sounding philosophy. I respect your opinion

While you may consider it a nice sounding philosophy I can guarantee you that China and India will soon be lamenting their newly acquired world status and burgeoning populations.

Yeah America are not the underdogs....even though it may be cool to diss America and Americans.

It's a mute question. When is America ever going to be 'underdogs'? politically speaking, the aim is to be top-dog and it's been going that way for a long time; it's worked at, it's orchestrated and being perfected. I just don't see how America is ever going to be in the position of 'underdog'; it isn't going to happen.
? We have an abysmal savings rate, a burgeoning national debt, an almost completely outsourced manufacturing sector, a floundering educational system and an economic system that could at bet described as predatory. How exactly do you propose we will remain atop the economic pile?

Best Answer

Unfortunately, no. Holding people at fault for what their government does is entirely too easy to pass up.

Best Answer

Yeah we are! until some other country needs our help. But it's good to be free :) So who cares!

Look at all the great empires that ever were. After they had their fill, they soon collapsed under their own greed and 'big man' syndrome. The US is definitely a super power, but leader of the world? Not yet. If they're aiming to be so, they need a serious turn around in their government. If so many American's are sick of being hated or misunderstood, they need to vote in the right government for their country because at this rate, you're going to be hated by many countries for years to come.
As for the States helping others out in their time of need, lets not forget the countries who backed you up going into Iraq, Afghanistan and Japan (to name a few).

Best Answer

Do you honestly think we needed help with Iraq? No we allow our military to be policed by the U.N. Im not sick of being hated. It means were not lost yet.

Best Answer

Well you didn't get far in Kuwait in the first war did you? You need your allies as much as they need you. The US wouldn't get far as a lone ranger.
