If i leave more computer on or keep it on standy by, rather then keep turning it off and on, will it run faster? or should i keep it off?

The initial start up is what causes the most stress on all the components of your pc. If you use your computer daily, it is better to leave it running, and only reboot when it freezes up, or you after you update it. This will not make your computer run faster, it just extends the use of your computer in the long run a bit. When your pc is on and not being used, it uses a very minimal amount of energy. if your computer is running slowly, you might want to delete all your temp files and delete anything you don't need anymore, to clear up memory space. On top of that, defrag it, and run antivirus/antirootkit tools to make sure your pc is clean.
