    I have a fascination with transhumanism and believe that one day people will be able to upload their entire minds into computers and essentially live forever. When that happens, humans and robots will have equal rights because the robots will have human minds. However, when it comes to artificial intelligence, I don't think that it ever will have the same rights. Transhumanism is already on its way and it is more probable that robots will have human minds than artificial intelligence will become more human... if that makes sense.

    The 'robot' will have to show it's autonomy before it can have any rights, otherwise it is just a program following orders.
