Resolved Question

Will the world change on Wednesday?

The Irish will vote in favour or against the Lisbon treaty, the other 550 million citizens didn't get to vote. When approved, the EU is very likely to change into a undemocratic United States of Europe with a large standing army.

We are not voting again on the Lisbon Treaty until 2nd October...so it isn't next wednesday!

Anyway - the Irish have already said no - and yet we have to vote again. It is so typical of the government - they will just keep going until they get a yes vote!!

The world changes every day. Most changes are very small and we don't notice them.

As an observer, I was wondering how long it would be before the EU tried to consolidate into its own governing body with a standing army and treating the countries of Europe like states.

Like the public health debate going on in the US. The Government has such a poor plan and is shocked no one likes it.

Welcome to the real world kiddies. Those who get into a position of power keep trying to flex and expand that power, it is just the nature of the game.

Many like the new borderless Europe, and will probably agree to the changes. There are ways to handle change. A; get out, get involved and mold the changes into what you believe will be the best way of moving forward, B; fight it tooth and nail. C; passive acceptance.

It is your future, it is up to you to handle it, each of you need to decide how you will handle it, I am a none player, but, even at that I watch what the EU is doing. It is an interesting change taking place, I know I will not live to see the end of it, but I urge you know, take note, it could be great the things to come, or it could be the most oppressive government in history. It is a baby now, how do you as citizens of whatever country, want it to grow up.
