Will you sign to keep your rights?

We the people are not at war with plants. Please let our representatives know this by signing this petition to keep salivia divinitorum legal! Thanks for the support!

--amended- My apologies all, I shall explain. Salvia is a legal herb sold across the united states and many countries as consciousness expansion. It is used by responsible adults to acheive a momentary "out of body" state. It is has no addictive properties and has been safely used for hundreds of years. The fact that no one here has heard of it speaks strongly for the fact that it is not a danger to society. I myself have only used it twice and found it to be a worthwhile experience although not something i'd recommend for everyone. Congress is moving to have it listed as a schedule 1 illegal substance simply because it is often used recreationaly. Thanks for reading.

I think it's ridiculous that the govenment wants to control plants?!? Seriously. If they feel so strongly about protecting us from plants then they need to remove the toxic plants that grow all over the place that kill pets and even a few children ever year..like oleander and daffodils and hyacinth or even Rhododendrons, and Azaleas which are fatal if eaten. If people want to much or smoke on some leaves what's the big freakin deal? I don't smoke pot, i don't really want to try this salvia plant either, but we should have the right to grw it, smoke it, or pee on it if we so desire.
