Too much effort on understanding things that are not yours to worry about. Try plain and simple unconditional positive regard... it could change the world x

Very true, being ones self is the way forward. Oh and being able to make tea properly of course :) x

I aspire to be loved and understood as a person, not simply as a female. I'm a person first, female second. Oscar Wilde didn't really love or understand women as far as I can tell from his writing.

    But anyway... :)

I love this answer. Thank you. We don't have accept a saying just because a great writer said it. Everybody is human after all.

Yes, thank you so much, I agree :) I always prefer to return on our commonality as humans rather than focus exclusively on gender based divides.

If we are to meet our minds, not just gonads, understanding is essential.

Soo True. Yet why do more women not understand this too? Because I think we are not meant to understand. That would take all the excitement out of it.

I try to understand each and every person I interact with, regardless of gender. I think women can be understood too, if they are treated as people.

I agree, it not always about gender, but unconditional love does not need understanding when it is present because it comes with acceptance and trust.

I respect your views. To me, though, one only tries to understand a person if he/she loves or cares for them unconditionally (or conditionally, if they were psychiatrists expecting a wad of cash in return). If you don't understand a person's motives or intentions, it is very difficult to trust a person, if not as difficult to accept them.

because men don't care about the love, they care about finding an answer. it's like they're genetically programmed to forget feelings easily if they don't have an explanation to everything a woman does/is.

Some truth here. Too sweeping to say men don't care about love but very true that they search for answers and do seek explanations. x

you are right, i suppose it is easy to assume they just don't care at all when realistically the care just sort of lessens when they are looking for their answers..
