Hello Ms. Starship:
I am sooo glad you asked this question!!! It turns out that the inventor of the modern flushing toilet in the 1800's was named "Thomas Crapper". (Check it out in Google and Snopes.)
So, instead of laughing of the coincidence that one Mr. Crapper invented the toilet, we have it completely backwards!!!! Crap was named for the deposit we make in Mr. Crapper's invention!
Crap has no more meaning than Kodak film has for George Eastman's Kodak empire, or Kleenex has for tissue, or Dial has for handsoap.
First time my mom ordered a Frappuccino from Starbucks--She called it a 'Crap-uccino'..It was funny.. Lol.
