Your body needs 2 days to fully recover from a hard workout.
I used to work my upper body one day then the next day work my lower body then have a day off. It worked well and i did not burn out.
You need to do something different some days, like instead of doing your upper body go to a pool and do laps. Or instead of doing your lower body grab a bicycle and do 10 or 20 KM ride.
There are plenty of other things you can do as alternatives but don't stray too far away from your work out too long because it does not take long for your strength to wane.

I used to work out for several hours every day. I would always run, swim and cycle, but in the gym I would do arms one day and legs the next day... and stomach every day. I was never bored while I worked out at the gym, but I had a headset that played a collection of songs that kept me motivated. Varying the order of your routines can be somewhat helpful.

Well so you dont get bored try different workouts each day, maybe one day do upper body, next day lower body, the following day cardio.... and that would also let muscles heal since youre not working on the same muscle everyday

Every other day. U build muscle by letting it heal after u tear up the fibers by working out. U need to give the muscle healing time. A day or two days the most is good

It depends upon the type of workout. Most muscle workouts should be every other day, but you can do upper body one day and lower body the next. Abdominal muscles can be worked daily. As far as boredom, I have my workout machines stationed in front of the tv. It is the only way I can make myself exercise. However there are games out there you can try. When I was healthier, I used to love doing DDR!
