Depends on whether either of them had posed any life threatening danger to me. If neither the dog or the man were a danger to me, yet I had to choose one. I would shoot the puppy.

All these people say puppy.. but every one of you would should a puppy over a man. You kill a man and you kill someones brother, husband, father, and for all you know the man could run a no kill dog shelter that rescues puppies from the pound. I would shoot a hundred puppies to save a man.

I couldn't do either one unless I was being seriously threatened. Even then I am not sure i would be able to do it, if I even had a gun in the first place, I'm not against owning guns but I don't happen to own one,
