a healthy diet is a well rounded one that includes a lot of fruits, veggies, some lean meats and fish, some carbs.
Any diet that says only eat meat or only eat carrots is a diet that is lacking in other vitamins and minerals.

I think an omnivorous diet ( meat, fish, poultry, eggs, all kinds of vegetables, some fruit and very limited amounts of grains and dairy ( if your system can handle dairy) is the best for long term health.

I also sprout several seeds for enzymes and fiber [fenugreek, lentile, and red clover]. Meat contains the worst kind of fat and is bad for health for that reason alone and unless you are a lioness killing free range meals, the antibiotics and growth hormones in most available meats are also bad for you.
Fats are essential and even some, like omega-3 are named so, but they are found in fish and certain plant oils like olive and mustard seed and hemp.

I believe a vegetable based diet is the best. High fiber, you can combine foods like rice and beans to make a complete protein source. Very few animal fats and only in small portions a handful of times a month, if you choose an animal food source. Nuts, fruit, grains such as quinoa. I grow most of my own spouts and herbs. I think we all need to get back to basics, before all the chemicals and processing.

this sounds like a 'low carb' type diet. eating meat is tiring and very outdated. if you must go that route, try the southbeach diet. sort of a split between atkinds and traditional carb loading.
