Would you be more inclined to vote (and spoil your paper) if they published figures of spoiled votes?
It'd be a way of officially registering your lack of faith in the current system of governance.
Most people and parties get elected on a tiny minority of the vote. It'd be harder for them to justify their role if it was clear that more people in the country voted 'no confidence' than voted for the 'winners'
