    Trust, but verify. I would believe that they believed they were telling me the truth. But I would check their facts and verify I had all the information before I did anything. I have been cheated on so many times I cant even count so I know the signs and what it feels like.

    My friends wouldn't say that unless they truly believed it. I would still hold out the possibility that they were in error, but asking them why they thought that would probably clear up whether or not they could be in error.
