Only if my family and friends were 100% safe, and protected. I have heard some absolutely horrible stories about family members getting slaughtered/killed because of someone giving too much information :/

Never to another country. But my government has internal checks and balances to protect itself from corruption, and if I knew of corruption and I could legally put into play our countries approved system of checks and balances, I would do so.
