I have, many times with different people. I have always benefited.
At times, I would have difficulties, FORGETTING, if it was as dramatic as "I should have never met you" . etc.
But, then everytime, I remind myself that I have already forgiven. LOL.

If it hurts enough I stop loving them altogether.

If I know it to be true then there's nothing to forgive them for and no hurt implied when they can see the facts and let me understand how they truely feel , The truth helps us both in the end results .

This is a great question, perhaps you should contribute. I have a weird circumstance where I am always having to search for forgiveness on what wasn't said.... isn't it ironic?

Generally, though there are some things you cannot forgive easily like "Get out you disgusting (insert vile word here, duck from pan being thrown at your head"

Yes, but usually I would have to examine what they said to see if there was any truth to it. Sometimes it hurts more if there is some truth.

Yeah, but we would have to talk about it. I would also do The Work on it, and to be honest I would be grateful to some extent. Our loved ones can show us where we need to grow, and where we have blind spots. The painful thing they said might be a really big gift in disguise.

OFC, Love is never having to say you're sorry....pain is just part of life...However if they don't love me then that can be a problem....cuz they may just keep on hurting me until I have to let them go....
