You should learn your history because Democrats are not so angelic either. The Democrats are the ones that formed the KKK and the 7th President Andrew Jackson who was a Democrat, He formed slavery and forced Native Americans off their land. Both parties suck! Either way, it's going to be then end of the world. Sure feels like it.

Yes, except that after the civil war the republicans and democrats switched platforms pretty much. Democrats may have formed the KKK but it's republicans nowadays that support them. The present is far more important than the past when it comes to politics. Unless you're looking for precedent.

LOL, guess you never heard of Virginia Democrat Senator Robert C. Byrd, that was a life member of the KKK. You may even want to see the true facts the Democratic Party and racism and the KKK. http://realdemocrathistory.wordpress.com/category/kkk/

I'm sure it's no less scary than the Texas seccession movement.

Best Answer

Simple, that secession would give credence to a type of movement that would result in the splintering and ultimate dissolution of the United States. It's the last thing this country needs. If the movement didn't sound like the Liberate Quebec movement maybe I could get behind it. Also, we killed tons of mexicans for the land that was theirs, we conquered and annexed it. No offense but the mexicans technically owned the land. Just like the American Indians owned this whole continent before any invaders came in. I see little difference between the seccession movement and the MECha movement, only that one side uses violence. You know like the Pro-choice, anti choice debate. One side uses words the other uses violence.
