Would you open it?

suppose you found a box that belongs to your significent other, you love them so much btw, you have no idea what secrets they have but you learn that all their secrets , even the dark ones are all in that box, and it contains information that might ruin your relationship with them , or let's say destroy it and you will never look at them the same way you you did before ever again, even if you stay with them, what you knew will always be stuck on your head. suppose they leave you the choice to open it

would you still open the box?

Open it if you prepared for what you find, Its like asking your partner a question like "Am I Fat?" and you not prepared to hear the truth? then don't ask.

Then again what your partner did or did'nt do before you became an Item, has nothing to do with your relationship now. Its in the past. The only time you will ever have is now. Learn to live it.

If the relationship was only being held together through deception (concealing whatever is in the box), then it is built on nothing and is worth nothing. I don't think there'd be anything in it that would drive me away though - regardless of what it was. I know my SO well enough to know pretty much what kind of weird/creepy/strange/bad things he may have potentially done or thought about- there's not much that would shock or upset me. They should not keep secrets from you, but it sounds like you are forcing them to keep the secrets. Open it or it will kill you, but it is your own fault how you feel about it.
