blind, because the human race depends on sight too much. i think it would be an excellent challenge. also, when you fall in love, you dont judge the person for their looks, you judge them by who they are :D

Deaf....I think you'd rely less on other people, than if you're blind....I wouldn't want to go without seeing my kids smiles, or to not be able to look into their eyes, when they are talking to me....or not being able to see my granddaughter dance around the room....that would be torture to me.

If I had to choose one, I would want to keep my hearing. It's too hard to socialize with people if we can't talk.

If I had to choose than I'd prefer being blind than deaf. I don't want to picture life without hearing meaningful words from certain people who are close to my heart or when I do decide to have children to here them learn to speak and grow. I couldn't bare giving up my hearing, I don't need to see with my eyes.

I'd rather be deaf than blind. I could with a few less lies in life.

I agree with Robert! I can't hear well already. You do not have to depend on others quite as much if you are deaf. I often wonder how people shop when they can't see. They don't even have the basic ability to look at the options of soap out there. I think blindness would be one the hardest things in the world to deal with. We don't have public transportation in my area, I would have to find someone to drive me to work. Where would I work, though? Not here, I work on a computer and read email messages all day...

Deaf. I can't imagine never seeing another sunset, watching my nieces and nephews grow up, or seeing my husband every morning.

I think Deaf. I couldn't bear not seeing my little one and watching his feature change as he grows. Although if i can make it through with both of them that's what I'm shooting for.

deaf because if you were deaf then you can find other ways to communicate, but if your blind could you really ever find a way to see?? I know you get to feel things but its not the same... I have an older brother who's eye site is getting worse and worse with age and he is suppose to go blind... and i think that legally he is kinda blind now... strange thing is that he still drives but i guess with his glasses he can see enough to where he is safe... but he isnt suppose to drive at night time... that crap is scary i will never do that again...
he is 28 and was told that if he didnt start really wearing his glasses that he would go blind... its kinda sad because he hasnt even had kids yet... i mean what if he never sees them and he always has to get books with special front and puts everything so close to his face...
i would rather be deaf

Definately deaf than blind.
I could see others and the beauty of the world,
I could read, watch TV, go to the movies, paint and cook etc
and communicate by lip reading and sign language.
I would hate to live in total darkness!!!!
.....walks in nature, see my grandchildren grow etc

I would rather be blind. There are pertty things to be seen but we as humans must also know that first impressions almost always come from the way things LOOK rather than how they act. A woman might be so ugly she hurts the eyes but deep inside she could have a heart of gold. It all depends on actions and words, not on looks. Besides, as there are pretty things, there are horrible things too that a person should never see. I would give up my sight for certain.

Definitely DEAF for me. I would be so sad to not see my daughters on their wedding day or to see my grandchildren when they are born. To never look into the eyes of another person or to be able to read a book... there are so many things to see and experience to live a life in darkness.
