A dive bar is a worse reflection on the neighbourhood than a homeless shelter is. I used to live a few blocks from a declining neighbourhood. A NIMBY manor went up a few years after I got there. The locals were enraged, but if anything it improved things, aside from the residents occupying the local library all day once they'd been put outside after breakfast.
Sounds like my house.
My community has nothing even remotely close but I like that there are dive bars for people that love them and homeless shelters for people that need them
Why is it a matter of safety? are you implying homeless people are dangerous ? btw this isnt **** to do with culture nor religion babe.
What is wrong with skeevy bars?
Homeless shelter, random drunk people no.
