We're like sponges. We tend to absorb the vibe that surrounds us most of the time, however the brain is a delicate and complicated thing. Some people IMHO are born evil. Just wired that way. There have been plenty of cases of truly evil people coming from seemingly ideal homes and positive surroundings.

I think we are born profoundly innocent.
If we get the bliss of mother's embrace and milk, we develop an innate capacity to love and be loved.
From the first cry of distress, we develop cravings, fears and angry responses.
As we grow more able, we can choose to nurture the impulses that favour well being and functional living (the good.)
If we focus too much on negative thoughts, and speak or act with negligence, callousness or cruelty, we can spiral downwards into very harmful states and create pain in ourselves and others (the bad.)
We naturally have the capacity for both. Most people are a mixture to varying degrees. Most of us can choose our direction in adulthood, and consciously work towards it, even if our childhoods were full of misery.

both. humans invented the act of giving a gift. However, they also invented the nuclear bomb.
good and bad are both very human things.

Humans are both subconsciously whether they realize this or not, without good, bad cannot exist and vise versa. =/

I'd like to think that we're naturally good, but I tend to think we're the opposite and have to always strive to be better and aim for being good. Put a child in a room that you can observe and leave something tempting like candy out in plain view and see how many will eat it. I'll bet most would.

bad , i think people need to learn to be good , and it needs work , being bad is easy , being good is harder and needs to be grown into oneself and shared more , its not easy to feel the love and spread it

I think innately good. People really show how they can come together and care about strangers in times of tragedy.

I think good. I don't think people genuinly want to be bad or cruel. But what is good and bad is defined by society, so someone growing up without a society, would only exist through theeir instincts. Sleep, eat, mate
