Would you stop your children if you see they are going to get hurt?

If we are all God's children, why does He let us get hurt and get hurt by other people, a loving father will protect his children and help them if he see that they are going to get hurt physically and emotionally.

LOL...this question reminds me of a bit from Christopher Titus. (Spare me the knee-jerk reactions, please. It's comedy.)

He said mothers GIVE you knowledge. Fathers make you EARN it. When he was little, he was playing with a screwdriver, trying to see what it would fit into. Sure enough, he came upon an electrical socket. His mother warned him and tried to get him away. His dad, though, held up his hand for her to stop, looked at him expectantly and said "well...go on". After getting his *ss thrown back from the electric shock, his dad looked at him and said "Yeeeah. Not gonna try THAT again, are we?".

Sometimes children need to experience the pain and consequences of their actions for them to learn.

A parent can try to give their children the tools and information necessary to help them avoid being hurt by other people but if those kids don't get hurt then they will not mature and they will not learn and get wisdom from experience. Words can describe it but only going through it will let them know exactly how it feels. There comes a time when you have to let your kids go. Love them too much and they will end up resenting you. Try and help them too much and they will avoid you. Try and live their lives for them and they will hate you. Let them go and live your life for yourself.

We will never learn if we don't get hurt.

Sometimes it's necessary to teach them lessons or for justice.

I don't think He wants anyone to get hurt, but God gave people free will to make choices on their own, and sadly, some people make choices that really hurt others.
If you, or someone you know, are being physically or emotionally abused, you really, really need to get help from someone you can trust, like a family member, counselor, a good friend or a one of those toll free hotline that offer support. Please don't suffer in silence.

It depends on the age of the child. If they are toddlers, then yes, you would stop them cause you won't want them to get hurt. But if they are kids in the early teens, then they should know what to do and what not to do to stop themselves from getting hurt. And if they do get hurt, well, it will teach them something about life.

Sometimes we need hurt and pain to fully realize, experience and appreciate joy and happiness. Sometimes its unpreventable, you can only teach so much. But if I saw a kid walking toward a flight of stairs of course I'd do something before they got hurt. But everyone has a mind of their own and only they can know what the right path is.

God gave us parents to help us learn (just as he teaches us) how to do things. Whether we take his and our parents advice is up to us. You cannot always protect your children just as "god" doesn't always protect us. You have to experience things on your own and make your own decisions. You're there for your children but at a certain point you have to let go and let them learn the hard way. It's just like parenting in a sense. Your comparing God to parenting a small child, thats what the parents are their for at a young age, once they are older its up to them to get life experiences.

We need to learn the hard way in order to grow. If you protect a child they usually end up miserable and ungrateful anyway.
