    Use the cat as an ice breaker. Get on speaking terms at least. Perhaps they don't know it's your cat.

    She isn't in the habit of sending post cards. The area is developed so she isn't camping out. The cat is probably spending the night with her friends. She's been fixed so there won't be any kittens.
