ISP's are looking to make more money off of what they are calling ''Internet 2'' it's going to work much like a cell phone bill works, you pay them for how long you're on by the gig and if you go over your minutes you're paying extra.<br />

What's hilarious is that they run the internet for not even pennies by the gig, but you can bet they're going to try and scam a way to make as much as they plausibly can off of it.<br />

Guys like Jay Rockefeller want to be rid of the internet though, I guess this is where this guy gets the idea but I don't know for sure.

You can't turn off the internet but you can cut an entire country off from the internet. The US government and ISPs are working on it as we speak. A kill switch that would cut off the entire nation from the rest of the internet. This is not happening in some third world dictatorship. It is happening in the USA.
