You ever feel like you're losing it sometimes?

I mean completely lose it! Like you're going to have a exceptionally brutal, nervous breakdown.

Recently, I feel like I have to put on a smile so everyone around me will feel at ease. If I get too emotional, especially here on EP, certain people will be cruel to me & tell me that i'm a man & that I should have no reason to be feeling down.

I know a large part of society embraces thinks that women are the emotional ones & men are emotionless.

This is not true!

Alot of us guys, believe it or not, actually have a heart! It may sound silly to some, but I don't care. I hurt & I cry sometimes. And if there are those out there who feel that i'm weak & pathetic because of that, all I have to say is i'm sorry I can't be like you. I'm not afraid to be emotional. I'm not afraid to show emotion. To me, it's what makes me & everyone else who show's emotion, human.

Now for those of you who like to post mean comments & make people who already feel like shit here on EP, feel even worse, if you wanna do that to me, I say bring it on! I'm not afraid of people who refuse to show their face!

I suppose it makes you feel tough when you're sitting at your computer, spewing forth hateful retoric at those you will never meet in person.

I guess it makes you feel better by making someone else feel horrible.

Well, i'am not afraid of you! I'am not afraid of anyone! That's why I choose to show my face here on EP...to further drive home the fact that i'am a man without fear!

Some people (not all, but some)who hide behind faceless avatar's, some people who get off on making other people feel terrible, are coward's! Such coward's had better hope & pray that they don't ever meet me in person.

I love being a nice & good person. I love making people feel good! I would do anything for anybody (especially if I love you)

But if you piss me off, I become a coldhearted monster! I would forever make you regret the fact that you hurt me & pissed me off!

You'll look past the people that are not nice. And surround yourself with the people who are. There are a lot of good people out there that make up for all the ones that aren't.
Keep smiling :) *HUGS*

Oh yes ... I came very close to losing it several times at work, but I'm a lot calmer now I don't have to spend more than a few hours at a time in the company of my mother. I am not afraid to show my face and I actually much prefer a man who shows his emotions. I like to be able to understand and help him and if he gets upset sometimes rather than being 'hard', I can be myself more easily and not feel guilty when I'm weak or emotional myself. Why would I want an emotionless robot when I could be with someone sensitive and compassionate who values my love and help?

I felt quite often this way in the past but managed to stabilize. Besides, often enough I have the feeling, that men are the more emotional ones but hide their feelings, while women more act in a role than show true emotions. Whatever, no offense, girls ;) will surely just be subjective.
Today I only (but even quite often) get a bit angry when I discuss with friends (or other people) and know some facts and can name the sources, while the people just believe something they think they have heard, and totally insist on it, until I really can prove my statement. That can drive me crazy, sometimes :D Well, I like to be a smart *** but surely enough I err as well from time to time, and I just try to keep that in mind to be more humble.

not yet. especially since my baby died last year, it seems as if God has been merciful and kept my mind stable. if not for that, i may have had a nervous breakdown.

You still sound coherent... which was an issue I had when having a breakdown... so maybe that's less of a concern? Though everyone is a different story. I do hope not. :[

There is this thing called Yin and Yang. The feminine and masculine. And both men and women carry both inside of them. A challenge that each man and woman have to face in their life is to reach out and find that opposite side of them as well. Meaning women need to get in touch with their masculinity just as much as their own femininity and find some place in the middle in order to be complete. Men have to do the same: find that feminine within them in order to have balance.
Ignore the nay sayers of a man's femininity, because they most likely are very unbalanced and not in complete peace with their self.
I cannot respect a man that refuses to cry or show heart. Pssh. Macho zeal.

I think we all feel like it sometimes. I admire men who are not afraid to show their emotions. I agree it's just a part of being human and we all are. There are too many people who get off on acting as bullies towards others but I think a lot of it is just attention seeking behavior so I try to ignore them.
As far as the faceless avatars, I have one of those but I don't have any pictures online at all. It's not about trying to hide.

man, i could have written that myself. every word. except the part about the avatars. i don't have my picture on mine. not because i'm hiding, i fully plan on adding pictures when i figure out my digital camera and how to load pics on my computer. but i think people who attack others have no place here. a lot of us come here for the very reason that we have problems and issues that we feel safer talking about in this forum because people have hurt us. if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. little kids know that.

I love sensitive and kind people...and I think men that show a more sensitive side are amazing. If more men were more thoughtful and sensitive to everyone around them we would have a happier and peaceful world. Don't change who you are...just be yourself. :)
