If you're asking what I would take, well that would be a suitcase as it's a long way to go for dinner.

But if you're asking for yourself - just ask them what they'd like you to bring. Chances are they'll say nothing, so then you take flowers and wine. But what do I know, I'm a Scot.

you should ask if they would prefer you to bring anything - it not a good guesture is a bottle of wine, warm candle or saying a few words before your meal.
