Being against the idea of genetic engineering, I would be doing this for the money; for ownership of the patents and therefore, control of the licensing. Nevertheless, the idea would be to create mini versions of popular wild animals that would not otherwise be suitable for domestication. An example would be to create house cat sized tigers, lions, panthers, cheetahs, etc. This is obviously the first and largest market that such a technology would open up. At some point when unexpected consequences arise from our work, it will be necessary to reexamine the process by which we forced artificial selection to replace natural selection. It may then be necessary to stop playing God until our ethical and moral skills become as advanced as our technologies. Hello? Does anyone remember when the Atomic Bomb was considered a good idea?

Im not advocating genetic engineering. This is a question for funs sake. Looking at the defining criteria should quickly show that.
