If I had a dog,I would know not to leave my glass on the floor. He could have 3 full water bowls, and mine of course would be the drink he'd want. I say I'd roll over and go back to sleep.

say NO..Go and see if his dish is dry. Train him not to come up to your food space. The next glass may have something in it, harmful to a dog.

Bonk myself on the forehead for leaving a glass of water on the floor in the first place(*Doh!*), then get another glass of water, and put it on the coffee table.

My dog is cleaner than some people I know, so I will surely drink what is left of it, and fill up his water bowl.

More than likely the glass will fall over so I'd clean up the mess and if the dog is THAT thirsty I'd make sure he had water in their water bowl.

1) Wash out glass and put it away.
2) Check dog's water bowl and make sure there is clean water in it.
Sorry....boringly practical answer, I know.

Check his bowl and make sure he is taken care of. Scratch him behind the ears and tell him how awesome he is. He is way more important than my glass of water, I can always get another one.
