Because it takes man/woman with guts, fortitude and brains to walk away from violence. So your reasoning that they are "Brainwashed" does not hold water. They don't have one to wash. only to grow.

Kindness is for proactive people, hatred and violence is for reactive people. I think it's natural to be animalistic and predatory..but that doesn't mean that it's beneficial to us as a human race. For society to be kind all the time is unnatural, which is why it's worthwhile to try..besides, I don't think people like being violent and feeling hatred. To what degree have we actually controlled the course of our lives anyway? How much of our freedoms do we give up by allowing our moods and thoughts to be the direct result of other people's actions and words? Can we help it, how much do you affect others? EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT or nothing is. There is a saying, if you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Live and let live.

There are some of those around but they're few and far between. I know someone like that. Nothing ever gets him down and he will go out of his way to help anyone who asks. I think those are the real angels among us.

quite frankly if one were brainwashed with this it would never be news worthy so would never travel far, in which case we would rarely here about it, the other side being that these people have the tendency to be burned so many times that their brainwashing loses hold
