Drugs and a false sense of entitlement.
Yes, and I wasn't talking to you.
Yes, stop responding.
No, you are wrong.
Indeed they do generally seem to be more confident or just outspoken. I've noticed that the parenting style has changed from parents emphasizing themselves as authority figures in relation to their children to today's more "pop parenting" styles where the primary goal is to be the kid's best friend resulting in either closer relationships but also sometimes blurred lines, compromised authority, and diminished value of respect in parent/child relationships.
The current standard of living for the younger generation today seems to include cellphones, unlimited internet, various gaming systems as staples not so much privileges like before due in large part to technology becoming more affordable and more accessible than it's been in previous generations. It makes for easier access to information and knowledge expertise, but can also foster arrogance and entitlement.
Pop culture has pretty much evolved to ingrain and emphasize the power of the individual and non-mainstream thinking and continues to take strides further in that direction. It can make for more selfish, self-centered and egocentric individuals but also more innovative, open-minded ones depending on how the individual develops.
generation gap... dude...!
It just looks that way. But once they get in private, they come on sites like this asking why nobody likes them, how can they be more popular, how to feel more confident. posting pics bagging for affirmation. Kids are just as insecure and uncertain as ever.
Everyone is more confident on the internet.... Lol
Cause it is common these days to Have "Attitude" . It is all just talk ,and nothing to back it up. :)
