Your partner is only befriending someone because they find them attractive?

My partner has chosen to talk to and befriend certain men based entirely on the fact that she finds them hot.

If this happened to you, how would you respond?

Would you feel she was one step too close to cheating? Or is it just harmless, even when you know they only get together for a drink because of the attraction, not because of any other interests or hobbies or as work colleagues?

I would be pretty uncomfortable with that. If her being attracted to them is the ONLY reason, then that's probably not a good sign.

theres no such thing as friendship between the sexes. be very careful. occasionally you can be friends but only if one side knows and has accepted something romantic will never be.

Why does it sound like this is a girl-girl relationship? I think it's okay to pick and chose your friends, but damn she sounds shallow. Maybe "hot" guys are just what turns her on. Maybe it's her ego-she doesn't want to be seen with anyone who isn't in the "in" crowd. Maybe it's just for the attention or looks. Maybe it's just a phase...

that's not ok (unless of course, you do it too, and you two have some sort of agreement). If you don't consider that a form of cheating already, it's dangerously close.
