You're at a store and pay in cash. Your change comes to $12.83. The store clerk gives you $17.83. Do you say anything?

What if the difference was less than $2? Would you speak up then?

Dosen't matter if the difference was 2 cents....Its not yours and therefore you return it....We all make mistakes which is why they put erasers on pencils...However, to exploit someone's honest mistake, even if its in your favor....Its not "yours" and does not belong to you...

Always! they make most of them pay for those mistakes and after a couple of times they often fire them. I don't need five bucks that bad.

Yes, I would. I wouldn't want someone to lose their job because of it. People can be stressed, distracted, etc. If I notice it then I would say something about it.

$100.00 or one penny. It is called cheating. I don't play games with myself and have to argue with my own conscience. The people I know and deal with know I am honest. That's worth everything.

Five dollars seems hardly worth risking your karma.

Of course! This is a no brainer. If one did not say anything it would be stealing. It would also be putting the cashier in a bad spot. He or she maybe accused of stealing it and/or may have to reimburse the store. A bad deall for all. One a thief for not saying anything, an innocent accused, the store loses money. I do not see any up side.
Honesty is the best policy. ALWAYS!

If I count the money I'd give any extra back and tell them if they didn't charge me enough, it's happened before.
