e and my boyfriend Tevin started dating in 8th grade and now he was arrested for attempt murder but he was accused of a crime he didn't commit it wasn't his fault he got jumped twice someone stabbed a person and accused tevin for it now he spent his 16 and 17 b-day in jail He got his GED i'm happy for him that he's trying to do good while he's in there. He was suppose to get out on May 16th but he didn't later on he called me and told me that the parole board felt what he did was reckless endangerment and was sentence 14 months in correctional facility and won't be getting out until August 8, 2009 and it hurt so bad because i haven't seen him in so long we both haven't seen each other in 2 years. We talk on the phone and write each other letters but it's still not enough. I sent him pictures but I have no recent pics of him. Him being away for so long is gonna be tough he's gonna miss my senior prom, my graduation and my 18th birthday next year. I know it's hard for him because he wanna be free and be able to be with me and there's times i feel i'm not being fair cause he's doing his best to be with me. I didn't tell my parents about this whole sitituation because my father is very strict but i wanted to wait until tev. comes out so he could meet them since i already met his family. I know one day we going to marry each other cause that's the love of my life. My friends said i should leave him i don't know what love is and i'm too young for love but i can't see my life without tevin he has always been there for me when i need him the most and i feel i should be there for him too no matter how hard it is. I'm sixteen years old about to turn 17 in a couple of weeks should i tell my parents about him or wait until he gets out? should i listen to my friends and move on? should i stay with him?

 | Posted Jun 16th, 2008 at 1:04AM Plan for your independence. Plan to go to college. I expect that you see a rosy future with your boy friend taking care of you when he gets out of jail. Jail makes you tougher and meaner. He won't be going to school so that he can get a job that pays enough to support a wife and family. YES, tell your parents. Ask for their advice. Your boy friend made a very stupid mistake. Has he learned anything, sitting in jail ? Probably not. Rated: +1 |
 | Posted Jun 16th, 2008 at 10:46PM First. i probably wouldnt tell my parents. At this piont what good could it do. If you decide you want to be with him, i'd look at it this way, if you were in jail and he was out, what advice would you give him. You'd want him to live his life, do well in school, and be happy. if you decide you dont want to date anyone else, thats your desicion, but your free, so dont let yourself get depressed and start living like a prisoner. There is always a way to stay commited but take advantage of the oprotunites you have( ex: amybe take a freind to prom). You obviously cant know if he has learned anything while hes in jail, but i guess the most important question is, what have YOU learned? Rated: +1 |
