Play to Save Shelter Pets

Each time you correctly answer a question, we provide food for shelter dogs and cats. This help can prevent a puppy or kitten from being killed at an over-crowded shelter, as well as ultimately helping find these wonderful companions loving, happy homes.

Help us save these dogs by playing and spreading the word.

How does playing the trivia game at Save Pets help to save the puppies?

Each year, somewhere between 6 and 8 million cats and dogs enter animal shelters in the United States. Nearly half of those are euthanized, or "put down"-- that's about 3-4 million cats and dogs every year! Experience Project has thousands of pet owners who love their animal companions, and we think that these statistics are tragic. So, we started Save Pets to change this! When you play the trivia game at Save Pets, we provide one kibble of cat or dog food to our charities for every correct answer. Helping feed hungry pets in shelters frees up resources to find these pets safe and happy homes!

Which charities receive funding from Save Pets?

We work with Rocket Dog Rescue and the Urban Cat Project.

Who pays for the cost of saving the animals?
Our advertisers pay by sponsoring the game with their ads. By doing so, they not only are getting the word out about their products and services, but also are helping to save cats and dogs around the country. In the event the advertising revenue doesn't cover the cost of the kibbles, we will donate 100% of all revenue to the charities, without regard for our own costs.

What is Experience Project and how is it related to Save Pets?
Experience Project is the leading life-experience sharing community online today. It is a positive and supportive place where users can anonymously share something about themselves and immediately be connected to others that truly understand them. Thousands of Experience Project members have expressed their love for cats and dogs, sharing their personal stories and experiences. Save Pets is a way for us at Experience Project to support these members by helping save cats and dogs that desperately need a home.

How do I benefit from playing the trivia game at Save Pets?
First of all, it's fun! Second, you're directly helping shelter animals have longer, happier, and healthier lives.

Can I play for my favorite type of animal (cats or dogs)?
Sure! Just pick the type of animal you want to play for underneath the pet food bowl.

Are these the picture of the actual pets that are getting saved?
These are pictures of actual cats and dogs that need your help right now, obtained directly from the animal organizations we are working with, such as Rocket Dog Rescue and The Urban Cat Project.

How does my donation get registered if I suddenly click away from the site or my computer crashes?
Your donation is immediately captured each time you correctly answer a question, and will not be affected if you click away or your computer crashes.

What if I write a script to play the trivia game and help out millions of cats and dogs that way?
This is not allowed! Running such computer programs negatively affects the game for everyone else, and impacts our ability to get food to the pets. So please don't do this! Everyone loses.

How can I share Save Pets with my friends?
The more people play, the more animals we can feed. This is a forward you can feel good about! Just click here to find out the many ways you can share Save Pets.

Experience Project Believes in Community-Driven Contribution
Experience Project (EP) embraces the idea of an identity being multifaceted and dynamic. We believes each individual possesses their own uniqueness through their interests, beliefs, relationships, passions, and life experiences. EP provides the chance to explore and express that uniqueness. Often that comes in the form of conversation around causes and issues that matter to our members. Experience Project feels it is important to address and contribute to those social topics the community cares about and supports.
