What Is the Seal Hunt?
The annual commercial seal hunt is the largest commercial hunt of marine mammals on the planet. Facing harsh criticism the world over because of the hunt's cruelty and unsustainability the fishing industry has spread much misinformation. Here are some of the facts:
Harp seals are the primary target of the commercial seal hunt, and to a much smaller extent, hooded seals are also killed. In 2006, 98 percent of the harp seals killed were pups under just three months of age. sealers may kill seals with wooden clubs, hakapiks (large ice-pick-like clubs) and guns.
It is important to note that each killing method is demonstrably cruel. Because sealers shoot at seals from moving boats, the pups are often only wounded. The main sealskin processing plant deducts $2 from the price they pay for the skins for each bullet hole they find-therefore sealers are loath to shoot seals more than once. As a result, wounded seals are often left to suffer in agony-many slip beneath the surface of the water where they die slowly and are never recovered.
Hundreds of thousands of seals are killed each year. In fact, over the past three years, nearly one million seals have been killed. The current kill levels are higher than they have been in half a century.
How Does This Trivia Game Help?
Every time you play the Trivia Game you earn coins for the cause. We convert all the coins that have been earned to their monetary value and donate that to the United States Humane Society which uses that donation to make a real difference and improve the lives of millions of animals. The money that is raised comes from advertisers that pay to be included on the trivia game - the sponsor's ad is shown right below the trivia game and we get a donation every time that ad is clicked on. Also, this application is designed to help spread the word about puppy mills. The more people that know about puppy mills, the less likely it is that someone will be tricked into buying a puppy that might have come from a puppy mill. Through education we can stop puppy mills, so please make sure to send on the link to the trivia to all your friends. You can share it here [link to: http://www.experienceproject.com/trivia/share/3]

Experience Project Believes in Community-Driven Contribution
Experience Project (EP) embraces the idea of an identity being multifaceted and dynamic. We believes each individual
possesses their own uniqueness through their interests, beliefs, relationships, passions, and life experiences.
EP provides the chance to explore and express that uniqueness. Often that comes in the form of conversation around causes
and issues that matter to our members. Experience Project feels it is important to address and contribute to those social
topics the community cares about and supports.
