OWNED TWO BEAUTIFUL GERMAN SHEPARDS,YOU GUESSED IT THERE NAMES ARE ERNIE AND KERRY.I OWNED APRIVATE HOME AND THEY WERE AHUGE PART OF MY LIFE.THEY WERE ONLY AFEW YEARS OLD WHEN I ADOPTED THEM.AFTER ABOUT FIVE YEARS WITH THEM IFELL ONTO VERY BAD ECONOMIC TIMES,I HAD TO SELL THE HOUSE.I SEARCHED AND SEARCHED FOR A CO-OP OR CONDO THAT WOULD ALLOW PETS,NO LUCK.I FINNALLY HAD TO GIVE THEM UP FOR ADOPTION ,it tore my heart out.i did find them areal good home.lots of kids,big house,big yard.that didnt make it any easier,iwas depressed for months and months.
one day last spring the co-op board voted to alow pets.its been 3 years now ,i still miss them badly.

  | Posted Oct 30th, 2009 at 4:14PM I love German Shepherds too. Having to give them up would be incredibly painful. Have you thought of looking on petfinder.com and giving a home to another GS in the same situation yours were a few years ago?   |
