Want to know how to be a good person or find that special someone here are what you should be looking for or doing yourself. This is Proverbs Chapter 31: 10 – 31 translated WITHOUT gender/god added.

Proverbs 31:10: Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Translation: Want to find a good person to be with, marry, possibly have children with? This person (a good person) should be valued and cherished at all times. Below is what to look for in a good person, and/or how to be a good person.

Proverbs 31:(11-12) 11):The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12) She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Translation: The heart of their partner safely trust in them because they have not said/shown/done things to show/prove that they are untrustworthy, so the partner has no need for others. They will do what is best for them AND their partner thinking/making/doing what is best for everyone involved.

Proverbs 31:(13-14). 13) She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14) She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

Translation: They look for things to do that are helpful, they look for the smaller things to put together to make bigger better things, and with their hands work for what they have. They always bring something new and interesting, something of value to contribute.

Proverbs 31:15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

Translation: Even when it is late and they are tired they still take care of their household

Proverbs 31:16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

Translation: They think on “what is best for myself and everyone involved) before they act. When deciding they look at how this can possibly benefit all of us in the long run
Example: instead of buying a pre-made cake, they get the ingredients to make a cake.
Then work on making/baking a cake and the ingredients left can be used for other things
They use what they have to make better things which benefits everyone.

Proverbs 31:17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

Translation: The strength you are looking for to be that better person has always been inside of you. Think on those things (things being thoughts/statements/actions you can do to be a better person). Do those thing that make you a better person, no matter how hard it will be sometimes.

Proverbs 31:18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

Translation: Know that what you are doing (being a better person, working for what is best for everyone) is good.
Know that there will be times of doubt, time of being tired, times when others doubt you, don't let that stop you. Don't stop doing what it takes to get better even in the dark/bad times of your life-! Don't stop working to get better

Proverbs 31:19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

Translation: When it is time to work yes it will be awkward at first, and yes at times it will be painful. The outcome is worth it, You are doing something toward bettering your self and everyone involved

Proverbs 31:20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

Translation: Help those that are trying to help themselves, instruct them on the steps you took to be a better person.
If they wish to do better they will follow those instructions. The “needy” will require you to show them where they can get the ingredients (tools you used to become better). Instruct them on the steps you took to be a better person.
If they wish to do better they will follow those instructions. Notice how it never said for you to do the work for them?

Proverbs 31:21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

Translation: Life is full of good and bad times, do all you can for you and everyone involved to make it successfully through those bad times

Proverbs 31:22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

Translation: Present your self with elegance and dignity at all times
Elegance is the quality of being graceful and stylish in appearance and manner
Dignity is the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect.

Proverbs 31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

Translation: Your partner should be known/held in a respectable manner, for keeping his word and being a good person. Someone that is known/shown to be wise with their statements/actions and humble enough to except better wisdom

Proverbs 31:24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

Translation: When you work hard and become good at what you do others will admire and appreciate you and your work. You can take that ingredients you gathered and profit from it by producing items of value. Your name, items, and workmanship will be well known and you and your partner can contribute more for the improvements of yourselves and everyone involved (this includes you home, income, relationship...)

Proverbs 31:25 Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

Translation: Your reputation will precede you for being a good person. In time you will be rewarded for your due diligence in some way, shape, form, and/or fashion.

Proverbs 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

Translation: Be knowledgable about the subject to provide valuable input. Don't just say random things for no reason or something unrelated to what you are talking about. That makes it appear as if you are not listening or just do not care about the conversation or the person speaking. Consider your words and the person you are talking with. Your words should be tempered with kindness. You never know what the other person is going through in their life or feeling at that time.

Proverbs 31:27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Translation: Take care of your household, take care of yourself and the people that matter (everyone involved). Being idle (procrastinating) leaves room for self-pity/ self-doubt destroying all that you have worked for.

Proverbs 31:28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

Translation: The people around you know when you have become better and they will (or should) commend you for it as well as encourage you to keep moving forward. If they do not then may be you should re-consider the people you keep in your inner circle

Proverbs 31:29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

Translation: Following these instructions on how to become better (how to find a good person) put you head and shoulders above the rest and makes you a valued member to anyone you choose.

Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Translation: Asking and/or accepting 'favors' is misleading, you or the other person always wants something in return, so pay attention to see if this person means to do you wrong or harm some how. Live life based on the works of your own hands, it's not about looks, it is about are you a good person or not. Live life knowing that someone is always watching you, so be the best you possible. Others will notice and admire the things you accomplish living this way.

Proverbs 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Translation: Give you what you have worked for; respect, honor, strength, wisdom, kindness, being a hard worker,
being a good worker being thoughtful of yourself and others that matter to you. These things will speak for you, your work will be known (good or bad) no matter where you go.
