How Do I Get Through The First Separation?

So my boyfriend is going to Camp Pendleton in Febuary, and I am moving to Washington State So we're closer than we would be if I stayed here. But I'm really nervous. I' not sure how much we will get to talk. He's a 2141 AAV Mechanic so he's not infantry doesn't have a high risk of being hurt. But I still worry. I don't know what to do. I know there are people ot there who get this and have been through it so please just help me to know how to get through it.

Hi Ally!

Dont be confused with your Marine's job. Every other Marine capability exists to support the infantry, they have the saying "Every Marine is a rifleman", meaning it doesn't matter what your Marine does, he will be fighting. I'm not trying to worry you but to give you more information about them.

If Camp Pendleton its his base station then you will have plenty of time to talk, he will be normally getting off by 1700 maybe 1800 depending of the day. After that, he is free to do whatever he wants. Unless he is there for training, then it depends on what he is doing there.

My boyfriend just left today to go there for some more field training! Has he been through that yet?
