Going to the bookstore is an activity I participate in at least once a week. I have done this probably for 20 years. I absolutely love bookstores. I can spend hours there. I look at all the books I would like to read. I look at cookbooks (I have a passion for cookbooks), self-help books (useless really) sex books (like I need any more help, lol) coffee-table books (I think I will get the one about Sharks) comedy books (I always love a good laugh) History books (I am so ashamed I don't know enough) Books about Religion (people are crazy including myself) and my personal favourite, Children's Story Books (one of these days I will write one)

It's my escape. I need to do this in order not to go crazy from my hectic life.

    I used to do this when I had one close. Now I usually browse them online, but the love is still there, and I visit one every chance I get, because I love the tangibility of looking at the books, and the smell of them...especially Chapters when it is hooked on to Starbucks! *giggle*

    I know what you mean.



    When I lived in L.A. we had one called the "Bodhi Tree" there were floor cushions, and alway's a pot of free tea, people just sort of "hung-out" there. Often celebrities would casually drop in, but no one paid them attention. You could engage someone in a game of chess, or set-up a table and tell "fortunes" it was a very cool place, and you didn't have to buy anything (tho I usually did)
