Well, what truly bonded me to this woman for the rest of my life was we both had an affinity for Haagen Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream. Gennifer is sooooo skinny, and, well, I'm not... so it sort of took me by surprise when she shared my love for this highly decadent treat!
I remember that you had to look for the ice cream - that flavor was often times sold out in the grocery stores - especially the small town where our Univeristy was. So, when you saw the flavor, you bought it - it was like the Quest for the Holy Grail - except this was the Holy Pint. I remember having the phone book out and calling all of the Convenience Stores to inquire about their stock of Haagen Dazs and then when we struck paydirt - getting in the car and racing to that store to buy their last 2 pints!! Many a clerk just shook their heads and chuckled at these 2 frantic women making a mad dash for their freezer - these men just didn't get it - probably never will!! Their loss - our gain - more Haagen Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter for me!!!!! Bwaahaaa haa (my attempt at an evil laugh! LOL)

I think you could be my sister... honestly she loves ALL MY CHILDREN and the exact same flavor of Haagen-Dazs ice cream. It is so funny that something like ice cream, a particular flavor and so forth, can be tied so specifically to certain memories. It is surprising, it makes me smile and laugh. Thanks for sharing.

Sadly, (or, in Erik's case, gladly) I don't watch ANY soaps anymore - the mommy thing kept me from it for too many years, and now that they are in school, I TRIED to get back into it - I don't recognize anyone on there (except my favorite - TAD! LOL).
So, now it is shows like Private Practice, Royal Pains, NCIS, Criminal Minds and CSI that I look forward to ALONG with my treat of HD's Chocolate Peanut Butter!! (which reminds me - we are all out - I will try and not panic!!)
