Mmmm, Brussels Sprouts!

OK, I'll man up and be the first to proclaim my love for these little cabbages.

Anyway, here's the deal:  get about a dozen brussels sprouts.  Trim the stems, and slice them in half.  Place them flat-side down on a tin-foil covered cookie sheet, and drizzle them with olive oil.  Sprinkle with sea salt and a tablespoon of dried bacon bits (optional).  Roast in a 400-degree oven for 20 minutes.  Snack on them hot with a pint of beer.  Or eat them as a side with steak or fish.  Just enjoy them, no need to thank me.

Every time I eat brussels sprouts, I remember how much I hated them as a child.  (Maybe because they were boiled?  I don't know, maybe my tastes were just different.)  Brussels sprouts are now one of my favorite snacks, they are tasty, cheap and healthy.  Best of all, as I munch on their deliciousness, I'm reminded to be humble and open-minded; to keep my opinions fluid and not set in stone.

Olive oild and salt are enough. Truely delicous!

That's not fair - Bacon makes anything taste good.

With salt and olive oil it's a winner for sure. They are hyper good! But, just the name in English, is a turn off. Sprout.

I just love em boiled with lots of butter and salt..yummy!!

try roasted with heaps of butter and pink salt
