I Admire Firefighters
A Firefighter
That may seem like a silly question and perhaps it is, but it has a very complicated answer. The obvious is someone who fights fire. But here are the less
obvious. A firefighter is a person who will drop what they are doing at a moments notice to go and help a perfect stranger; a person who spends countless hours training to better serve his/her fellow human being; a person who leaves their family from a night out, the dinner table or a long overdue day off from work to help others; a person who puts their life in danger every time the siren blows; a person who puts their life in the hands of their fellow fireghters each
time they respond to an incident; a person with a big heart and the courage of lion; a person who has seen the horrors of poor decision making and still
responds when the siren blows; and finally a person who realizes whether they are paid or volunteer, young or old, works or is retired, understands that
they are a firefighter 7 days a week 365 days per year.
