    She lived in a world with no media at all, where literacy was as rare as computer programming in our world. In a world where important news could take 10-20 years to reach an out of the way village. I have no idea how she learned that France had largely disintegrated. Given that she lived outside of France proper, why did she care?? Yet she learned somehow and cared somehow. Despite being a teenage girl, she simply thought "if men will not fight the English and set things right, then I will."



    And what did her fellow French do? Inflict on her the most horrible death possible. No man is a prophet amongst his own people. And the same is true of teenage girls, no matter how brave.

    woah.... i just love joan of arc... She is one of the best examples for girls today. Very brave girl who fought for her country's freedom.
