Old Farm Guy

I have been friends with Oldfarmguy for a long time now. He knows how much I care for him, trust him, admire and respect him. He also knows I know he is a man who accepts his past faults and failures and a man who learnt to take responsibility for his life and the lives of his children and who chose to make some challenging mental and spiritual changes in his life. I admire all those who can accept failings within themselves and work to change their lives for the better. But more so, are those who change their lives and realize the importance of helping others. OFG is one of those people. Someone who believes at the core of his being that his life would not be fulfilled unless he took the time to reach out to people, friends and strangers alike, in an attempt to guide them, give encouragement and support and advise. All this he does with a true and genuine heart. The friends he has here on EP, and the comments he receives pay tribute to that. 

Old farm guy loves all that is living and made by God. Nature, the land and animals have a special place in his life and he draws strength and inspiration from those things daily. His outlook is so positive and inspiring; how can you not smile when he takes the time to pay you special attention.  And it does feel special when I talk with him. When we chat and talk and laugh about the million and one things we talk about. He just makes everyone feel special.  I recently saw comments from all the friends he has on EP, which inspired me to write this post. To let him know that he is important and special. That he makes a difference to people. He was so rapt to read those comments from his friends, and I want him to know that he touches peoples lives every time he writes his blog or comments to give support to someone on EP. 

So from me and everyone who has come to call you friend OFG - We love you. You HAVE made a difference.
