My Self-discovery - Thought 3: Christianity Is Not A Religion

I am a Christian, but I'm definitely not religious.

I know alot of people would disagree with me, but I believe it's all a matter of perspective. Personally, I hate the word 'religion'. It sounds like an extra-curricular activity that one attends on certain days, and follow strict ceremonial procedures and laws, with the threat of being excommunicated and facing other forms of disciplinary charges when not in conformity to it.

I'm not holy, I'm not perfect. But I'm a Christian. I have my weaknesses, and strengths. I do not judge others, neither do I condemn. Jesus himself ate with the tax collectors, spoke with a Samaritan woman, and allowed a prostitute to break perfume over his feet and wipe it with her hair. All these things were 'not according to the policies and procedures of their "religion".' Christianity is about your attitude, and character.

Christianity is NOT a religion. It's a lifestyle.
