I had a normal pregnancy....even an easy pregnancy up until the 8th month...even then I only had minor  blood pressure worries...

But then came the labor and it all went terribly wrong.

first I arrived at the hospital soaked with dark brown fluid from my water breaking....this fluid id suppose to be clear...after much concern ..they found that the problem was minor...nothing to be alarmed about ....

we thought all was well.....

so I was given pain meds during my first hour of labor..and into my second hour of labor I was barely conscious. I had reacted really bad to the pain meds and they were trying to bring me back around...somewhere along the way I woke up some...and continued with the labor...

on the fifth hour of the labor....I was only in labor for 5 hours...they knew something was really wrong....I was bleeding to death.

then the baby was born .......and all I remember is looking down at the floor and literally seeing pools of blood on the floor.I saw the oxygen go over my face and I passed out.

I had lost just over half my blood supply.I was seriously anemic ....when I had had no anemia during pregnancy ....

my son was 9 lbs...and the labor was unexpectedly quick...

I was told in a half conscious state that I was still bleeding ...and I need to have blood transfusions to save my life.......

a long recovery later......I had the perfect son...I would do it all over for him .....it was the best and worst experience of my life .........

It's amazing at what we women will go through for our children. I would also go through all the pain and agony to have my children all over again. They are so worth it! Even if they're a pain in the *** when they grow older and talk back to you LOL
