I Always Say "im Fine"

Ever notice how you can be having a terrible day -- I'm talking the crappiest day of your life -- but when someone asks you how are you you still say, "I'm fine"? I do that. All the time, I do that. I'm not sure why, I guess it's because I have trouble saying my feelings to people I don't know well. But even with my family I still say, "I'm fine."
I don't know.
I guess it's like when someone sneezes and you say "bless you." It's just the appropriate and automatic response.

    Haha it's just social courtesy now to ask how people are when they don't really care haha. Irish comedian Dylan Moran did a pretty funny skit on it, it's up on the youtubes somewhere...

    My question is how are you supposed to react. People come to you for comfort... then what are you supposed to do ask for comfort back? No, because they want to focus on themselves.
