But I Chickened Out

I always wanted to draw, but I was not sure if I am good enough.

I always wanted to become a pianist, but I never dared to look at it as a profession.

I always wanted to travel to Moscow and Prague, but I never made a serious attempt to do so.

I always wanted to write, but I only write chapters of y story in my head.

I should act more courageous! or I will never do anything.

My sense of smell is the only one that works well, I wouldn't want to lose that.

No... you could leave that part out. I would hate to see you have to do that... :-)

I would wear Voldemorts costume, Do I have to cut my nose?

Yeah... I may try it then.... ;p

Maybe next Halloween!

I always wanted to dress up like a leg lamp. I just never have got around to it.... ;p

I love your list of things, specially number 4, if you want something done you have to do it yourself.<br />
<br />
I know that sometimes I sabotage myself. I try that.<br />
<br />
Thank you.

Just do it.<br />
If not now when?<br />
Do it anyway.<br />
<br />
These are all things I try to remember to tell myself. But, I've finally realized the reasons they haven't worked so well ...<br />
<br />
I need to tell myself these things too:<br />
<br />
1. There's no such thing as good enough - so do it even it I'm the worst one.<br />
2. It's okay to do things for myself for no reason other than I want to.<br />
3. Loreal has it right - "I AM worth it"<br />
4. Nobody is going to do it for me or make me do it for myself no matter how much they love me and wish me the best.<br />
5..... and this is probably the most important one .... MOVE! Shut off the t.v., the computer, put down the list of things you "have" to get done today - put one foot in front of the other, do not pass go (okay, collect $200 if you can - ha) but go directly to the thing you want to do and do it .... Move, Move, Move, Move....... Hear me? ha - If I'd tell myself this every single day and do it - Oh the things I could have already accomplished! The book would be written, published, and a best seller by now (or at least finished and given to my friends and family as gifts), I'd be a master potter (or have a shelf full of funny looking pieces that only a mother could love, I'd be a Scuba Diving Instructor (or at least have my certification and gear and go on dives with friends here and there), and I'd be a famous actress or singer (or at least act and sing at my church or local theatre group) .... <br />

Life is too short - I've realized that and made my own "bucket list". I'm 46 - but I've still got time. Joined a pottery class this week. It's a start.

Thanks you are right, I just have to enjoy myself
