An "Almost" Age

I've decided that 19 is sort of an "almost" age. You turn 18, and it's exciting. You're a legal adult (at least, in the US), you're probably graduating high school around then, it's a milestone. (For me, my 18th was exactly two weeks after I graduated)
What happens when you turn 19? Nothing. You turn 20, you're no longer a teenager. You turn 21, you're legal to drink. 19? Not all that important. It's kind of lame.  Personally, I look forward to being within 3 mos of my 20th birthday and being able to answer "almost 20" to my age. (3 months is my rule, because more than that and it doesn't seem as true.)
Anybody exceedingly happy to be 19? Care to share why?

No, i'm not overly excited to be 19. it was my first birthday that i didn't spend with my family, because i was at school. so i think not having my family there just made it feel even less special.

well for me 19 was kind of a big thing I live in canada though and its drinking age in saskatchewan so 18 you can buy **** and smokes 19 you can drink I am offically and adult I guess...

Well I am happy the Lord let me see 19, but I can't say that I was all excited when I turned 19. I guess you're right, 18 and 21 are the most exciting ages to reach!
