23 And An Adult....parents Didn't Get The Memo

I'm 23 and i still live at home....i pay bills and work two jobs....my parents, mainly my mom stil treat me like a kid. I still have to ask to go out with friends and coworkers and if they think it's too late for me to go out I'm told no, even though I'm an adult...before it was fine because i have never really went out now my friends want to hang out more. It sucks that i still have to get approval first...what should i do? I don't think my parents got the memo yet but im an adult

    Yep, I went through that, hundreds of years ago, lol. My parents were the "as long as you live under our roof, etc." type...so it only stopped when I left home. I've never gone back, but my youngest sister had to, after her marriage broke up, and she has a daughter who now lives there, too. She and our parents butt heads occasionally, although not quite as much as when I was young. Chances are, the only way to have your folks not in your business will be when you leave, unfortunately.     My advice would be to move out, get your own place. Then you can make your own decisions. If you can't afford a place on your own, get room mates.
