Oh Vhs, How We Miss You

Being someone who was born in the early in the early part of the decade, I am able to state that I have experienced one of the largest shifts in technology in history. I recall seeing VHS tapes sold on the shelves of major retailers, and DVDs being the most novel form of media. I witnessed the gradual shift from study plastic bricks filled with magnetic tape, to flimsy plastic disks that were twice the price. Granted, DVDs had more features and never had to be rewound, but VHS tapes start exactly where the last viewing session ended. I did not even matter if the tape was removed; it started where I wanted it. Besides, what can be better than that twangy sound the tapes produce as the age.
